Popular television shows make it seem as if every lab and law enforcement agency has state-of-the-art technology (bathed in moody blue lighting, of course!) that enables forensic scientists to solve crimes in a matter of days or hours.

The fact is that forensic science requires a great deal of patience and painstaking process—and it can take months or even years to discover and document the answers.

At UNL, you can acquire the skills, knowledge and professional ethics required in today's challenging forensic science environment.

Each course builds on others in a cross-disciplinary, comprehensive curriculum.

In addition to technical skills and science, you'll learn how to communicate your findings to others—including law enforcement, attorneys, and juries.

You'll understand how to conduct yourself professionally and personally in order to obtain employment and advance in the field.
